I would say that when we girls are trying to play hard to get, we'll flirt more, but not just with you. Maybe all in your little group of friends or something, even if we really like you and not the others. This would be to try to make you jealous and work harder to get us (that's why it's referred to as playing ';hard to get';). On the other hand, when we're simply not interested, we tend to act sort of bored with one word answers, etc. Not getting engaged in the conversation and not really making an effort to attract you. not interested is when they blow you off like ';im to busy and dont intend to make the time';
there is one good indication...flirting. If she flirts and ignores you later she is playing hard to get. Becareful though cause she might just be trying to have some fun or make someone jealous by flirting with you and might not be interested at all. If she simply ignores you and seems annoyed she not interested.
Hard to get is where a girl teases and avoids you, and maybe tries to make you jealous with other guys.



not interested is where the don't talk to you at all.
you can't/ you will never tell.
