I need advice (preferably from girls)?

ok so i like this girl (im a guy) and i asked her to a dance casually but she was already going with someone else, then after hesitation i told liked her and asked her out, but she turned me down. i had a friend (a girl) talk to her and when i asked my friend all that she said was ';its not going to happen';. what should i do? is this girl playing hard to get or just genuinely a *****? should i move on or keep trying? I move on how to get over her? if keep trying, what should i do?I need advice (preferably from girls)?
To start, she's not playing hard to get, nor is she trying to be a *****, she was straight up instead of beating around the bush. You should move on, for now. Give it 3 months, make some improvement on yourself(inside and out)-if needed, and give her a chance to see your personality. Are you funny? Smart? Show her. Don't wear your emotions on your sleeve, right now. Leave her alone, make those improvements, and try again in a few months-but back off for real. Let her miss seeing you, stay out of her face and re-emerge a stud!I need advice (preferably from girls)?

Dude if this girl really liked you and was playing hard to get, she would have said something to your girl-mate and flirted with you at the dance to try an make you jealous
Show her that you can be fun to be with! Talk to other girls,,,be friendly! Laugh, dance, be nice with your friends. Keep on saying hi to her.
